Meet Sharon
For nearly a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with students during one of the most important and vulnerable times in their lives — when they’re trying to figure out who they are and how to express that on a college application.
What began as broader college admissions work evolved into what I care most deeply about now: college essay coaching and identity-based storytelling. I’ve watched many students grow in confidence as they discover their voice through reflection, conversation, and writing — and that moment never gets old.
Before launching Sharon J. Callahan Coaching, I built my foundation at All About U College Counseling, where I focused heavily on personal statement coaching, college essay development, and student self-discovery. Earlier in my career, I helped students find summer internships and before that I was a senior sales person. Both roles strengthened my communication, listening, and relationship-building skills — all of which shape how I coach students today.
“A well-written personal statement can really help to make an application stand out during the college admissions process.”
Philosophy
As a personal statement coach, I believe students write their strongest essays when they feel heard, supported, and guided through meaningful reflection. My role is to ask thoughtful questions and help students uncover the experiences and values that truly define them — so their personality comes through in a genuine, compelling way.
